Therefore, Mom’s List of Names is verified from many historical sources. They are consistent, easily accessible, researched, and unchanging because some are centuries old. Ancestor Notes

Roger Bigod (1060-1107): In 1100, Bigod (as Roger Bigot) was one of the witnesses recorded on the Charter of Liberties, precursor to the Magna Carta of 1215.

William d'Aubigny, 1st Earl of Arundel (1130-1193): The first proven English supporter of the crusader Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem. WikiTree, Geneanet, PoMS

Caspar Peter (1698-1739): Arrived in Philadelphia on the ship "Louther" on Oct 14, 1731, from Rotterdam via Dover.

James H Mallicoat Sr. (1772-1845): His wife, Rhoda Witcher, was 1/8th Shawnee. Her ancestor, Pekowi Chief Straight Tail Opessa Opethatha, signed a treaty in 1701 with William Penn. Straight Tail was Tecumseh's Great Grandfather.

Calvin Mallicoat (1840-1932): A Civil War Union soldier in Company "E" 25th Illinois Infantry. Fought in the Battle of Chickamauga and the Battle of Missionary Ridge.

General Baker Schofield Mallicoat (1880-1954): His wife, Martha J. Bear-Daniel (Mattie Daniels), was of the Cherokee Bear Clan, and her parents escaped the Trail of Tears.

Col George Reade (1608-1674): Great-great grandparents of George Washington. He voyaged to Virginia in 1637. His father-in-law, Capt. Nicolas Martiau, was a military engineer sent to Virginia in 1620 to build fortifications. WikiTree

Sgt. Samuel Dedman (1722-1800): Served in the Revolutionary War (Rolls, 1775-1783, Page 85).

Cpl. George R. Kinlen (1931-2009): Corporal, United States Marine Corps. Served in the Korean War (1 Jan 1951 - 24 Dec 1953, Dept. of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File, 1850 - 2010).
